As a Jets fan I’m glad PK is out of the Central division and the conference in general

So this year is all about clearing cap space...at all cost?

You must not watch him play very often. This is a very good trade for the Preds, Davies is going to haunt you for a long time.

This is good news for the devils fans that were worried about Hall. That’s one big move, grabbing Hughes as well? We’re not even in FA yet.

Disagree strongly, I think Nashville wins this trade by a mile. Not even retention, Devils got fleeced.

If Nashville picks Brink or Kaliyev with the 2019 2nd, it looks a lot better. That probably influenced some of that trade

Even if he becomes a Norris contender again, he's still a cancer to the locker room. You should be super happy the Leafs didn't get him.

Comebacks at 31y doesnt happen very often.....

Wow, I was not aware how much PK Subban's stock dropped. This gets some veteran presence on the ice, even if he can be a locker room cancer. 3 years left, let's see if he continues declining, bounces back, or stays the same throughout those 3 years.

The #34 pick overall is pretty much a first round pick. So many great players still available.
Id say Nashville comes out well in this trade, good picks and prospect for a 9M cap dump, allowing them to sign Duchene probably.

Preds fans know how Jets fans felt after the Trouba trade. No top 4 defenseman coming back.
Santini <=> Pionk
2 2nds <=> 1st
Davies > Nothing
Trouba <=> Subban
Very similar.

Did my happy dance already. No pk to Toronto and we get to score even more goals on Jersey this year. Should be fun.

Poile can now afford to offer sheet Marner as high as 13 million per season, given that the cap is 82 million.

Subban had a down year last year, I still think he can bounce back.
I'm a Jets fan, I think they're both top pair dman. Trouba is much younger, and will be a bit cheaper, but Subban if he bounces back could be a Norris candidate. He's also is much better offensively.

Subban is a cancer in the room extremely overpaid a defensive liability and now has injury problems. I stand behind my statement fully.

Devils fans will revolt after subban first season.

I'm not sure Trouba was a good presence in the locker room either though.

Where does this leave Will Butcher next season? He's no longer relevant on the PP, and that's his only real role on the Devils. They certainly can't overpay him as a pending RFA. I'm thinking 3 years at $2.25M.

As a lifelong NJD fan I really despise this trade. I just hope John Hynes, Captain Andy Greene, and Taylor Hall signed off on this deal. P.K. better check his ego at the door to Prudential Center. That means no more self-promoting, no more personal success at the expense of the team, and no more stupid, failed TV shows on NBCSN. We don't care who you're GF is either. Just play hockey.

Yep, if we aren't including Montreal, Nashville won this trade hands down. I wouldn't be surprised to see them win the Cup if the Chemistry can be re-established.

I don't want anyone on my team who identifies himself as "Lindsay Vonn's boyfriend." I don't want selfish players, no matter how talented. NSH won this trade hands down.

I'm just very thankful that he has only 3 years remaining. Otherwise a disaster for NJD.

NYR did much better than NJD, in my opinion. I'd much rather have Trouba...not even close.

I hope this trade highlights to people what the league thinks of pk subban, and his trade value. Players don't like him and don't want him on their team so the preds hands were tied to perceived low ball offers. The fact they shed his whole salary is incredible. I imagine a big forward splash in free agency. Go preds go!
