Description
I’ll explain my moves:
I did not sign back Justin Williams because at this point I’m not sure he is coming back, that could change. We have been rumored to be going after priskie, he is an ideal fit if we can move Justin Faulk. Big IF, is will he sign here. The canes need to improve down the middle, RNH makes a lot of sense here and Edmonton needs to improve on D. Not sure if I did the buyout correctly but it seems the canes can save more by retaining salary and trading marleau, hoping the sharks can afford him around 3 mil cap hit. Mrazek is too important to lose this offseason, they need to pay him. I think it’ll probably be between 4.5-5 mil per but we’ll see. It’s possible Geekie or Gauthier make the team next year, but I figure if they can get Puljarvi in part of that deal they can try to rejuvenate him and get him going with Staal and foegele. Not sure what he would cost but a one year “prove yourself” deal would make sense for him. I also think RNH makes sense because in 2 years Svech will need a new deal and Geekie and possibly Suzuki maybe ready to step in by then. Let me know your thoughts!

As weak as the Oilers defense is they really can't be losing two forwards especially RNH.

Edmonton needs a winger. I'd say either swap out fluery or faulk from the deal for a skilled winger in his place (if the 1st goes then a high class winger). Edmonton wouldn't do the deal with that many dmen coming in cause by 2020-21 season the oil will have at least 3 young dmen coming out of the minors. The basics of the deal do look promising however but, like I said the oil NEED a winger

If Toronto could have traded Marleau (50% retained) for a 7th they would have.

Oilers are not trading a forward for a dman. That’s a fact
