That'd be a huge win for Edmonton honestly.

On Toronto's end they can't technically give up the 2021 pick as its availability is conditional on the 2020 1st. 2022 1st is also too many years down the line for the Rangers to want it. I'd probably offer something around Bracco.

The hold up is cost and term. Here say claims his agent is shooting for $30mm / 5 years. Dallas is at $20mm / 4 years. You offered $12mm / 3 years.

Yes they can. It just removes the conditions from the Carolina trade and guarantees the Hurricanes the pick in 2020. They have to technically ask Carolina for permission to do it, but they'd be dumb to not let them. Toronto woulnd't move a 1st for DeAngelo anyways

in my opinion we have too many rh dmen we wouldnt get anything for shatty because of cap and fox and trouba we just got so that make deangelo the odd man out

It’s not they are low on him just that NYR went out and got 2 RHD this offseason. Other option is trying to find a way to move Shattenkirk which would be harder since he holds the power
