Unless Pittsburgh plans on having 3 goalies on the roster, one of Jarry or DeSmith will have to be moved since they are all on 1-way deals this year. I think Jarry has a legitimate chance to be a starter for a team, but he is currently roadblocked in Pittsburgh. I also feel like goalie compensation is incredibly difficult to gauge, so I am not sure how much teams would be willing to risk on a goalie grimace

Jarry will be in WBS unless someone gets hurt, he'll show what he can do and then the Penguins either trade him or DeSmith or put one of them on waivers. I don't think trading him for a 3rd at this point makes much sense. He didn't play well last season and still has a chance to prove himself.

Love the idea of adding Wayne Simmonds. I like all the moves except for the Jarry move. one suggestion I would have would be to trade a pick to Nashville for Bonino and then package Jarry, Bjugstad, and Simon or Rust for a winger and a pick...

Jarry or DeSmith can't be in WBS unless they clear waivers, neither would clear waivers. One of the two will be traded. Personally I would look to trade DeSmith. He has the higher cap hit and he is likely to have higher trade value since he proved himself this season.

As long as Jarry starts there he won't have to clear waivers.

I do believe this is true, he will just make the NHL minimum contract rather than splitting in half AHL salary / half NHL salary.
