What's up with all of these Rust for Puljujärvi trades?

Is this pure speculation? Do people think this is realistic? Puljujärvi was a top tier draft pick, even if Edmonton has soured on him, is his value really that low??

Puljujarvi demanded a trade or he will go to Europe next year, Edmonton said they want a 3rd liner for him.

This is something that has been rumored since Jesse wanted out of Edmonton. The oilers want a 3rd liner for him and Rust is something that could play anywhere in a line up.

Rust for Puljujarvi is gross overpayment by Pittsburgh. If Edmonton thinks that they are getting anything more than a non-conditional 6th or 7th for him they are crazy. Everyone saw what happened with Yakupov and this is no different.

$3.0Mx2 is also gross overpayment for Puljujarvi. He will be lucky to get a 1yr $750K offer by an NHL team.

Yakupov is a completely different situation. Puljujarvi is worth the 3 million for 2 years as a bridge to see if he grows.

No. He isn't. At all. And suggesting that is quite hilarious.

I doubt Detroit would give up a 2nd rd pick for Aston-Reese. He just hasn't done enough to make him worth a 2nd rd pick.

I agree. Defiantly a higher pick, maybe 3rd or 4th but a 2nd would probably be the max.
