If Pavelski is going to leave the Sharks, he's going to want $7M+.

Yea gotta feel like he is asking for at least 7m x 3 yr for a deal. SJ probably would do 7m x 2 yr, so 5m x 3 yr isnt getting you a visit from Joe.

so you think he wants 14M for two years rather then 15M for three years?
6x3 frontloaded with SB is the highest i would offer for him, considering his age he probably wants term

I wouldn't want him. I don't think the Rangers would sign him either. He's a good vet, great leader, but doesn't fit our timeline. I'd rather use the cap space as a trade chip

I kinda see Pavelski more playing similar role as Marleau did for Matthews and Marner on the Leafs and not signing him cause I wanna see him lift the cup
