I think the zucker trade makes us worse in this instance (just because mueller hasn't taken a step), I actually would like to deal sami, but it needs to be a package for a defenseman I think. miles on 3rd and 4th works well cause of the upside and the physicality, bratt shifting down for zucker doesn't work. zucker on third line is an option and prob a great line, but defensively we suffer. Also I love Panarin, but I think I would want him at 11 or less...if he signs here we become contenders imo, but it won't be sustainable with the raises that are coming. Would need some sort of discount or over pay with less term maybe 3 years and align with pk...but I doubt he does that.

I agree with the above comment. I don't think you need Panarin AND Zucker – I love Jesper Bratt, I think he can slot into either wing on that second line just fine.

This would also put us up against the cap next season with raises for Hall, Hischier, Bratt, Blackwood, and a few other guys to fill out our roster.

I can see where you are coming from with the zucker trade so I understand that!

it felt weird pushing down Bratt too , ideally he needs to play second line mins.

The issue is a I think Panarin signs for 11 plus anywhere he goes. I get it youre worried about Hischer and Bratt but truthfully Panairn is a once in this life time talent on the wing. 82 point guy who has a strong two way game is amazing. You also have to take into account Greene 5 million expires next year and Zajacs 5.75 the following year.

I'm fully onboard for panarin, i'm just hoping shero does the math lol

I think NJ is a darkhorse for him, not trying to have the marner saga in 3 years
