They don't need Pavelski. Without that signing they could have the room for a mid-level 2RW (Maybe Dzingel if he's a RW) and some extras.

CBJ is not trading Seth Jones, he is on a team friendly contract and is one of the best defensemen in the league easily. VAN decline, Stecher >>> Zaitsev and it's not even close.

I doubt very much Columbus even considers trading Jones for Marner. And if it comes down to a trade I doubt very much that most leafs fans will be happy with what Marner is acually worth and what the return will be.

I can say with some level of certainty though that if a Marner trade happens then Paul Marner won't be happy with how reality works.
