How has Mcleod been looking? I haven't really paid attention to his progress. I just know he was a pretty high pick. If they're insistent on trading Kessel I think this is the style of trade I'd be looking for though. A couple young players that can step into the lineup and then a decent amount of cap space to try to fix some of the holes the Pens have.

He was a bit of a mixed bag. Was lethal on faceoffs (like over 60% insane) and good in his own zone. Did what he is known for in the neutral zone with confidence. the last 10 games or so were really good, although he got snake bitten on a bunch of good saves and linemate whiffs. Probably should have had 7 or 8 points at least in those 20 that he played. The talent is clearly there despite social media fans shouting bust whenever a 1st rounder doesnt put up 60 points by the age of 20.

Seems reasonable. I wouldn't be opposed to a swap like this, but I don't really see it happening. And then with GMJR's recent track record he'd create the space and then just give Simmonds 6Mx6 or something stupid and waste the space he just created anyway.

Ya, as you can tell from my comments below the trade...I don't think there's much of a chance that it happens either. Just wanted to see what the lineup would look like with Phil and wanted to put in a reasonable offer to see what the subtractions would be.

Yeah I hear ya. Who knows though. I'd be more upset with some of the other rumored Pens moves than this one. I also enjoy that our names together would make a meal envied by all.
