The Caps need to choose between Stephenson and Jaskin as a 13th / 14th type forward...whichever has most upside and is cheapest (NHL min-type).

- Bura is a hard call but I think you set him free and go in another direction.
- I agree since the cap space is not there, Vrana needs to get the shorter bridge he has been asking for. if he keeps progressing you have hard decisions to double that bridge deal later on.
- Djoos has hit his ceiling...I think it is time for him to go too (like Bowey)...Siegs is better served as a 3rd D pairing with Gudas and develop Lewington or LucasJo
- Hags will be 3rd or 4th line BTW...you're not signing Vrana to make him a bottom 6-er.

Pretty close all around though.

I am going to make what i think could be a good one w/o Burakovsky. Also make one of a sorta "wish list" of what id want to happen.

If it goes by qualifying offers stephenson is 715,00 vs Jaskins 1.1m. I would go stephenson just based on CAP coming in lower than previously expected.

I know Vrana is 2nd liner. I just forgot to move him up to his spot in line up once i signed him.

I also agree with Djoos. I think Siegenthaler has progressed past him. Siegs next to Gudas would be good for him . I thinkThere has been talk (RUMORS) of moving LucasJo but id rather move a 24 YO Djoos and continue progression on a 21YO LucasJo.

I think there's more to be seen from Djoos, so they shouldn't let him walk, but he will cost at least $1M AAV. Would also be very surprised to see Walker back, likely wants to better opportunity on a less deep team (like Riley Barber). Also, the RFA rights to sign Jaskin aren't worth a 7th round pick, let alone a 5th.

DJoos took a small step back last season and is even if not slightly behind siegenthaler in my opinion right now but could also regain a spot if he plays well. I could see them both earn time on the 3rd pair and both benefit from Gudas.

Agreed on Jaskin. Id honestly non qualify him and let him walk to be honest without losing much sleep.

I could see Walker back since hes had a chance before. Barber is leaving since he never really had a look. I think he should have more of an opportunity over his career but never came. If Walks is given a spot on the 4th line and he could challenge Stephenson for that spot i could see him return but can also see him pursue other opportunities for more time and money if its there.
