If im New Jersey im not trading Severson. Id have to choose between Severson and Vatanen (whos older and a UFA next year) and I keep Severson. They have plenty of pieces to make a deal (McLeod, Wood, Zacha, Vatanen sign and trade, Bastian, Anderson, Studenic, etc)

If you want to get rid of Perrault you're not getting Severson and Coleman, the Perrault salary lowers the return.

I would say Severson + Wood or Vatenen + Coleman. Either way, I'm not keen on getting rid of Coleman OR Severson.

It's time for the Jets to blow it up a bit, trade the older players for anything you can get and lock up the core of young players and keep drafting and developing well and stay away from overpriced UFA's.

I’m a Devils fan, and for some reason I believe Ehlers is going to end up in Jersey. This deal is way too much to give up for NJ though. Severson is not getting moved. I think a deal could look like Vatanen, Zacha or Wood, and a 3rd for a similar return to what you had.

On this team, only Wheels, Byf, Little and Brassard are over 30...Severson is only a year older than Ehlers at 24...

I am saying(im sure the Jets fans are too) that if Ehlers is traded, Severson is the guy coming back. Not only is he a local boy but he would fit in great playing with Morrissey. Also, unlike Trouba, we dont have to trade Ehlers...

Yup trade Wheeler, Buff, Little and don't sign the likes of Brassard.
Seriously this team is no longer a cup contender.

Wheels and Byf wont go, Wheels has a NMC and Byf is fine as a #2RD, top PP guy.....Little may go but I doubt it will improve the team that much if he does...I signed Brassard as he would be a cheap option to fight for the 2C spot as he may have chemistry with Laine and Connor...The Jets are still 2 years away from promoting any good prospects. They are either in Europe or still too young

I know they won't but they should.
The Little trade discussions are interesting, so many want him gone but there is really very few 2C's out there to replace him and no team is giving them up for cheap, look at what the Flyers are paying Hayes, that's crazy!
Like look at what you did here, if the Jets did exactly this would you really be looking at this roster and thinking 'oh yeah we're a cup contender?
Sorry to rain on Jets fans hopes but this team isn't a contender, it's retool time.

That's nice, but I don't see the Jets moving Ehlers for a Vatanen Package.... based on his skill level and contract.

Totally agree...as my above post, Severson is a local boy so that helps but mostly he is also a decent RD that we need and we dont have to trade Ehlers so...
