Bury Backes

Created by: hanson493
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 25, 2019
Published: Jun. 25, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trade moore and miller for whatever highest pick is. those trades below are essentially just filler to dump their caps. realistically 3rd/4th for either guy depending on team. Backes goes to AHL and gets most of his cap buried and we dont lose any assets doing so. Get pominville (money probably needs to be more but for a chance for a cup run he might take a little less at his age (3rd line right shot). Labanc probably will get traded he is also a right shot (although listed at lw). whatever pick/prospect combo you gotta send back to get him i would do so. 3m rfa bridge. Seidenberg AND Beleskey money come off the books at end of year opening up 3m next year as well.

You are too tight to the cap. No accumulated room for a deadline deal and bonus money will be carried over to next season causing more issues.

i thought about throwing hosang into the 3rd line role dont need a deadline deal if this works out^ IMO you could just not sign pominville and roll a kid there.

"Backes goes to AHL and gets most of his cap buried and we dont lose any assets doing so."

^This isn't true. Boston saves just over $1 million in cap space. They still carry over $4.9 million in dead cap.

as i said in the description add more picks/prospects get it done. Im sure sharks keep him but why not give it a shot. I would give a 23 year old ho-sang a shot, they basically did the same thing with hosang as we did with alex koko. And it isnt costing you that much because bruins wont keep cehlarik

can't imagine sharks would have a shred of interest in this.

wait what? there isnt a fit for the bruins or the sharks? if bruins how do you figure? dude just put up 60 points. he could be a huge piece for any team. thats literally your right shot right winger that could play with krejci and debrusk or bergeron and marchand.

which is why the Sharks aren't trading him. Certainly not for a pile of junk, but definitely not for what Sweeney would be willing to give up.

sharks are going to be in cap hell because of the year meier and lebanc just had. meier can get offer sheeted. labanc could get offer sheeted. just because typically they dont happen doesnt mean it wont. if i was a gm im offer sheeting both guys for a guy that just put up 80 points? yes ide say thats worth a first and a 3rd. for 60 points. you could send a 2nd. what are realistic offers for either of these guys that SJ can give them that they dont get an offer sheet? they have 15m to sign: pavelski, thornton, lebanc, meier, as well as a 5th-7th dman.

k....you signed him for 3 million. You didn't offer sheet him for 6 million, so I don't know how that's coming up. I would get Carlo signed before thinking about an offer sheet. Carlo and Heinen are eligible for an offer sheet, so I wouldn't want to throw around offer sheets before those two are signed.

Anyhow, the bruins could give him 6 million. It would be stupid, but they could. that's not what you did though. So make one about an offer sheet, all this is is a really poor trade offer. Let me know where you're going to get the extra 3 million in cap space you'll need.

If you reread what i posted again, im saying meier warrants a 4.227 - 6.341 offer sheet. if you offer sheet lebanc for 3m you only send a 2nd sj likely matches that. Im sending them a 3rd and a prior first round left shot big defenseman thats got a good cap amount that could be their bottom pairing guy now but has potential for a bigger role in the future. I could offer sheet Lebanc for 4.225 i guess and see if sj takes the 2nd or not. can easily come up with another million somewhere

Other teams offer way more. Zboril isn’t of value at the moment
