Bellow that 950k threshold mark and adds depth for that 6/7th spot and first year is a 2 way deal can't really go wrong with this signing.

emergency depth move. He'll sit in the AHL, come next year they will trade him.

Jackets do not have depth issues with their defence and Clendenning is a solid player who is getting better imo.

I hate to break it to you but he'll be sitting in the AHL next year unless injury strikes and they need a call up to be the 7th defense man. He is emergency depth little more. They clearly have 7 solid players for their defense currently.
