Marchessault isn't going anywhere. He's part of their core in Vegas with Karlsson and Stasny.

This leaves Chicago with $14 mil to sign Reaves, Cagguilla, Kubalik, Strome, Debrincat, Crawford, and Lankinen. The Marchessault trade doesn't make much sense for either side

Next season you trade away Saad and let Reaves, Crawford walk. Hopefully you can find a camp dump for Seabrook also.

Well then we're stuck with no starting goalie. And Seabrook's contract is immovable at this point

That is a big IF. And let'say you do not find a trade partner, is it worth losing Debrincat?

Vegas is not giving you Machessault for those players.
