how to make Stamkos work maybe?

Columbus need some cap release to resign Jones so they could buy DD out.

    In my opinion there is no way any team is paying 2nd for Emelin. Emelin is buyout case. Plus I would not take the chance over Hartnell contract, your scenario leaves not enough cap space for lucrative Beaulieu+Galchenyuk signatures in 17-18.

    I think it does because you'll have Markov's contract coming off the books

    Markov will ask at least 3.5M per. Not enough saving for Galchenyuk 5++ and Beaulieu 3++

    Markov will retire / move back to Russia. And beaulieu will get 2.5 max

    Would be the first top4 d-man paid 2.5M$ max. Anyway, at 7.5M$ you get 1M$ left, not enough for Price the year after. You get the point.

    Agree. Landing an aging overpaid player like Hartnell would put too much pressure on the cap - and clug the cup window. Inking Perron or Okposo would be better bang-for-the-buck deals.
