Is Schultz that much better than risto? Definitely isn't that big of a gap if at all.

The only way I see this happening is if the Pens have a few moves lined up and they know they are signing a guy like Panarin, Duchene, or Lee. They save quite a bit of cap but lose the trade otherwise. That said.. Crazier things have happened.
