Sure, WPG is in a bit of a cap crunch. But no way Ehlers is getting shipped out of town for that..

If I'm Montreal... I'm seriously considering it.

I would try to switch Byron for another player... Byron is part of the leadership core.

That does a bit of a disservice to the players involved. Juulsen is a young RD, once you've overpaid Myers he'll slot in fine. Byron is a speed winger who can score. He's a reasonable lower lineup replacement for Ehlers.

I get your point though. Same with the Flyers moving Ghost.

Byron was actually very close in points per game as Ehlers and also half the price. Juulsen is still a promising prospect and a first rounder is normally treated like gold. Yes Ehlers is the best player in the deal but this is a lot closer than people think.
