I like the Toronto trade I don't think but I don't think Toronto would. I'd even be willing to retain half of Daley's cap hit. Just to open that roster spot. I don't know what Vanek wants to do but I'm pretty sure if he wants to go another year in Detroit the Wings would resign him. I think they wanted him to mentor Zadina last season but Zadina didn't progress as fast as they expected. I'm not sure on Sutter but I know Detroit really likes how he has been with the younger players. If this is what do in the off season I'd be happy.

No way Vanek is back. Before the draft he was asked about what UfAs he talked to and he mentioned Kronner and Witter. The reporter then asked Yzerman about Vanek and he smirked and said “no, haven’t talked”.
