Nah mate that's not it. That's not how you land Brodin or Ehlers. You gotta add some value there. Brodin isn't moving for a bottom-6 winger and a prospect quickly losing value after not being as good as projected...and Ehlers is not moving in exchange to UFA D-man...although Bratt is good addition, it's not good enough.

Thank you! Devil fans need to realize that Miles Wood at his absolute best is a 3rd liner and Shero would be delighted if he could get a pair of 3rd round picks for McLeod.

I absolutely can't stand Wood. I think the only reason Devs fans like him so much is because he's become the fan favorite and all the women like to look at him. Every time he takes the puck to the net, its almost a guaranteed goalie interference.

I still think its too soon to judge McLeod though

I agree that the WIld trade might not be enough but I think the Jets one is pretty darn close.

The Jets are clearing $10 million in cap space, getting a top 4 defenseman with a year left on his deal at only $2 million with the retention AND getting a cost controlled, talented asset in Bratt to step into a top 6 role. That's not a bad deal for them at all. Maybe up the draft pick to a 3rd and then you're really there.
