No way LAK gives a 5th round pick for Peca but it is just a detail. I think Arnia could sign for 2.25 M. I like the Thedore trade from a Mtl point of view.

I remember an interview with McPhee at the trade deadline when we traded for Stone. He was checking with his cap specialists about Clarksons contract for the offseason. He said he got the greenlight from them about placing him on LTIR on July 1st. He said that a lot of paper work will need to be done but we can make it work
When the traded for Clarkson they had a three year plan all along, knowing they could bury it this year if needed. Its why all the extensions kick in July 1st
