Perry is on a decline and look how well it went the last time Crosby's personal friend (Johnson) joined the team. I would sign Benn in a heartbeat though.

I think Benn is the perfect partner for Schultz but my thing with Perry is that GMJR is dying on the hill that he needs gritty players and if he wants grit so bad why not invest into a guy who can potentially give you 20 goals while possessing all the intangible garbage that GMJR wants

It doesn’t matter which one gets moved because Emil Larmi will force both of them out before the 20-21 season begins.

Considering he still gets paid on his bought out contract, if the Pens sign him for 1.5m or less, then I would be all for it. It would be a low risk, high reward investment. I'm all for gritty players if they can actually play too and not too many can.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking...it reminds me of the time GMJR signed Ehrhoff after Buffalo bought him out.

It's probably not realistic but if they got rid of both Johnson and Gubransson, they should sign Benn and Stralman. Click on my name and look at the AGM I made last week.

Hornqvist, Rust, Johnson, 1st, 4th for Zucker, 6th. That is very much not good asset management.

It doesn’t matter whenever you’re getting a superior player in return. Zucker is way better than Hornqvist and there’s no way Rust is going to play his contract out in Pittsburgh and attaching him with JJ is the same thing they did with Sheary and Hunwick last offseason.

He could probably force Murray out in due time as well.

They didn't add Sheary to move Humwick. They moved both Sheary and Hunwick to clear cap. Zucker is massively over rated by Pens fans on here. He is not very far off from Rust as far as overall on ice value goes and is not "way better" than Hornqvist by any stretch. Plus, Zucker himself is not a good contract at $5.5M. There is 100% no need for that 1st to be in there. Minnesota has been trying to move Zucker for a year with no luck. Rust and a 4th is probably a Minnesota win. Rust, Johnson and a 3rd.
