To trade for Kane you’d literally need kakko skjei and a first

yeah right, you'd have to move the garden to chicago, inherit the rangers 4 cups, and solve world hunger to trade for kane on this site.

I mean, you're talking about a 30 year old winger who is one of the best players in hockey, crucial to the team he plays on, and who has no reason to be traded by said team. Oh, and he's going to be cheaper than most of his younger counterparts shortly, due to cap inflation.

If the Rangers wanted to trade for Kane, it would likely look like Kakko, Skjei, Strome, 2020 1st, and a B+ prospect. Which is why it would never happen for either team.

As a fan of neither team, if I was CHI I'd trade Kane for Kakko, Skjei & a 1st Rounder. I think Kane is a Top 5 Player in the league, but that value would be incredible for Chicago and they could go sign Panarin with the extra cap space. Obviously won't happen but fun to discuss.

It was a joke about the people saying CHICAGO SAYS NO to any and every offer regardless of how much it sets Chicago up for the future
