Id rather let him walk on an offer sheet, or trade then pay him 8 mil. Did nothing but turn the puck over last year.

1 bad season after a shoulder injury and you want to get rid of him? Going into the 2018-2019 season I figured he was getting $8M after his monster season the year before. I think its crazy to let him walk after the potential he has shown.

Have to pay him based off his play last season, should just do a bridge deal. He hasn't proven he's elite yet. I think 6-6.5, 4-5 years, is the max flyers should pay at this point... We are deep in young D and prospects, Ghost, Myers, York, Sanheim, and Morin could still develop as well.

At 21-22 years old Ivan Provorov player roughly 25 minutes a night and wanted to play more. Not many defensemen want to do that be he does. Provorov projects as a #1 dman the only other player you mentioned that has that potential at this point is Travis Sanheim. No team is going to offersheet Provorov at a point where the Flyers would get 4 first round picks in return imo losing him for picks wouldn't be good for the team.

I forgot to move Hart above Elliott and because Elliott makes more money he's above Hart on here.

agreed!!!! Provorov last season was behind Gudas, & Sanheim and at parts of the season he was absolutely terrible! I would much rather push hard on a short bridge deal

Provorov averaged 25 minutes of ice time while Sanheim averaged 19:34 and Gudas averaged 17:53. During this ice time Provorov had 92 giveaways while Sanehim had 65 and Gudas had 59. Yes Provorov had more giveaways but when your playing the most amount of ice time youre going to have more giveaways. Provorov is also playing the hardest minutes against the other teams top players every single night. Sure he was bad in the early part of last season but that doesn't throw out the other two seasons in his career.

I'm sorry but I watched ALL of flyers games last season and Provorov was average to mediocre. I seriously can't recall a SINGLE game where he was outstanding last season. And when you have a kid who goes from being your 3rd best in +/- to your 3rd worst. Alarm bells should be ringing, a 2 year 4.8million deal is a safer bet. Anything higher than 6.5 is ridiculous

I also watched every SINGLE Flyers game last season and not once did I say he was outstanding last season. He had many solid game towards the end of the year. Take into account that only 43% of his shifts START in the offensive zone and the PK and Power play units struggled this year might help explain his poor +/- but saying a player is bad because his +/- is bad doesn't tell the whole story.
