This is his seventh contract, and his best-paying one to date is his ELC, odd note.

Either way, excellent signing. Seemed to fill in nicely for Dallas last year.

With all the teams needing right-handed depth defensemen (notably Anaheim, Toronto, Las Vegas and Los Angeles), Fedun's agent sure didn't do him any favors by allowing him to sign before July 1. In particular, I can't see this guy being worse than Andy Welinski or Korbinian Holzer, who right now are the only in-house RD's behind Josh Manson.

I may sound crazy, but I think this will be in a Top-10 list of sneaky good signings from this off-season. Fedun can contribute at the NHL level in the right role and, it seems perhaps he’s found that role in Dallas.
