I didn't realize how badly Vegas crapped the bed trying to fix what wasn't broken after their incredible 1st season.

I don’t know if adding Stone, Pacioretty, and Stastny (their top 3 playoff scorers) can be classified as crapping the bed.

They have cap issues, just like most contenders do.

It's a pipe dream for me but I wish the Blues would go after Tuch. He'd be perfect for them. I can see Boston wanting him too as he's the perfect linemate for Marchand and Bergeron if the Bruins decide to play Pasta with Krecji for a whole year.

I think they have a few leftover contracts they don't really want. When they survive this year they have a lot of cash coming off the books and not much to spend on. Their top-6 is locked in. They have some great prospects coming up the pipe (hopefully, they don't always work out). Maybe they could stand to upgrade on D (especially if they move Colin Miller). But they have no 8 figure deals, and lots of guys with term.

I think there are a lot of other teams in the league who would love to be in the bed they "crapped" in.

He’s on such a good contract there’s almost no way he’s gone

Agreed. Vegas would much rather move Smith and Eakin or even Miller

Big Power Forward, Boston style hockey! He would be a great fit on that line! they would have to give-up something crazy t get a player like that with a contract like that.

They would, but they're also loaded with prospects. I think the only "untouchable" is probably Vaakanainen since they're fairly thin on potential game changing defensemen. But given the return for Mark Stone, I dont think it's as exuberant as people think. Heinen, Lauzon and a 2nd gets the convo going in a good direction.

Agreed, The have 3 very similar players in stone, tuch and Pacioretty. Honestly if I was them i would be looking to move Pacioretty cause tif it hasnt already, that contract will start to look like an overpay in 2 years.

Agreed, and that's exactly why I don't think Pacioretty will be moved. Unfortunately for Vegas, they wont be part of the expansion draft so they cant even give Seattle an incentive to take him at this point.

In year 1 they had 109 pts and made it to the Stanley cup final. Had a very busy summer. Year 2 they had 93 pts. Barely made the playoffs and lost in the 1st round. Hmmm. Smells like a sewage wagon for a bed to me.

Barely made the playoffs? They weren’t a wild card. They also needed to win one game, and was up in game 7. Stoppppp lol

I get your frustrations with VGK as a leafs fan. We came in and did more than you guys in 2 decades. I’d be pissed too
