Sammy, you have to live in Leafs territory to really get the feel of the Marner situation. He isn’t going anywhere, but his agent will milk it for every last dollar. He is a local boy who can make up any money left on the table with endorsement money he can’t get in another city. Give it another try but with Marner in at around $10M.

5. Marner. I would want more back from MIN. 2 firsts or throw in Zucker or something right. I wouldnt gamble a pick on if marner has a slump or not. If MIN wants to sign Marner to a 11/8 or whatever Mitch thinks he is worth, they should be willing to give up a kings randsom to do it.

If it is a 10M on a 8 year deal, great. If its anything less than that, lower the AAV. About 500K for each year reduced.
