Very good value for Deslaurier. I mean, he wouldn't even make the roster in montreal

Ducks need players, so I suppose it makes sense as a depth acquisition.

But really, what are the Habs up to?? Clearing cap space.. they must be going after Duchene big time and thinking they have a good chance. But why would he do that unless he thinks they're going to be competitive next season?

4th rounder for him? at first he could score goals at times but the next year he was plain useless. I cant believe it. Hes worth a 7th

I suppose the idea is to play him with Henrique and Silfverberg in case Max Jones (or, unexpectedly, Maxime Comtois) isn't ready, but with four reasonably good young wingers (Comtois, Shore, Ritchie and Jones) plus Rickard Rakell, I don't really see the need for a depth player there (LW). At best, worth only a sixth. I'm afraid Bob Murray got slightly gulled here.

I'm saying that in the hope that the guy scores 20 goals this season and everyone can laugh at me.

Robbery. D-Lo is an ok 4th liner. Not worth a 4th. He was most probably AHL bound this season. Waiver wire fodder. Bergy is running game.

There's absolutely no reason why Deslauriers should be worth that high of a pick. A guy like him should cost a 6th at most.

I love how everyone is like, that 4th round pick is too much.....it's like a 8% chance to turn into an NHL player tears of joy

Lets be honest, the deals are already worked out. MTL knows they have their player. They don't have to "negotiate" it any further. They are just clearing cap space for him.
It's the only reason a team would trade people out. The only question is, what player are they targeting. I'm sure they have had more than 1 visit.

He played 48 games with the Habs last year, after December, he played 3 games for the rest of the year (scratched). We got something for a player that shouldn't of got us anything.

He wasn't going to make the roster, he didn't even make the roster this year.

I just never liked this player... I remember Kings moved him w/ another scrub in trade for McNabb... One of the few they won... They got back the 2nd round picks they gave up for Robyn Regehr too smile... I know one of them was like a converted D-man or winger... This guy will flop, so might as well get something for nothing wink.
