Their owner refuses to sanction it AFAIK. Wants to make playoffs every year, doesn't get team needs to get young and fast

Wild already the oldest team in the league. Last thing they need is more veterans taking up cap space and roster spots.

Rangers lose here. We only got a 2nd and a 3rd instead of the potential 2 1sts. Dallas loses Zucc and doesn't make it to round 3.

DAL wins big here. No additional 1st round pick exchanged and they got Pavelski instead. MIN is stuck in neutral right now. Too many older players w/big term remaining in MIN

Last year he wasn't worth the contract. This year, once he finally hit the ice, he's started off white hot. He looks to be worth the $6m so far, but the term is still too long, and the NMC is killer.

As soon as this contract was dropped, I was one of the ones that voted "No".
I'd like to rescind that.
He's definitely lived up to it.
