So many clever posters here. "Look! The oilers literally did something! Let's make fun of them!". Would expect this kind of thing from Reddit or /hoc/ but I expect more quality posts here.

Khaira is worth this contract. Hes everything Lucic should be but at 5mil less.

It'll take at least until the end of Lucic's disastrous contract until people stop making fun of the Oilers. They don't really deserve any better treatment after wasting McDavid and Draisaitl's immense talents by signing the worst UFA deal in history in Lucic.

There has been plenty of bad contracts handed out in the last decade and there will be more in the next decade. Lucic did better than Neal last year, so there's another bad contract. But at any rate, it gets fairly boring and annoying to see the same posts everything the oilers do something, regardless of how small a thing it is.

Holland really hasn't done anything bad yet. He's cleaning up past mistakes and trying to put together a roster that can hopefully be competitive next year. Meanwhile, gms that have had more than a few months to make their teams better are out and about putting their teams in cap hell and trading first round picks to open cap space.

While Lucic contract is horrible, there’s been much worse. Brad Richards and Rick DiPietro have to be worse

You're right, especially about the Neal contract and about Holland deserving a clean slate, but you really have to wonder what was going on above Chiarelli to allow him to make the Koskinen extension the day before being fired. If that was the reason for firing him than why allow him to make the deal in the first place? Everything about EDM's front office prior to Holland's arrival has confused me.
