Juulsen , Mete and Domi on 9m the next year though is a had sell though
even if you sell Tatar,Byron and Petry to clear space you still got Gallagher ,Danault Poehling and Kotkanemi to pay the year after that.
with MB making offersheet on Aho that means we can expect them on our RFA's Mete,Juulsen ,Poehling and Kotkanemi so dont expect team friendly deals.

it woulda made more sense to more Tatar and keep Drouin's team friendly contract
Tatar's a UFA in 2 years you can flip him to a contender for a 1st guaranteed.
Drouin's got more value here playing witih Poehling or Kotkanemi.
put Byron up at the draft to Seattle
then trade Petry in 2020-21 and you'll just come under the cap .
the catch is you'll have to dump 1/2 , Weber or Price by 2022 to sign Poehling and Kotkanemi with either a Gallagher or Danault (unless they all take team deals with RFA's taking 2-3 year bridge deals to get UFA's signed with term)

all the draft picks have to be starting from next year. 2020 1st round pick has to go in an offersheet, you cant defer it to next year to make another offersheet

Thats not true at all. If a team doesnt have their 2020 1st round pick, they can use the next 4 years of 1st round picks as compensation for a max tier offersheet.
This is absolutely allowable according to the CBA

i wish we'd just pay to upgrade on a Tatar or Petry for example .
get back a Tolvanen,Vasalainen or Jokiharju .

Your link litterally shows how every team can offer the max tier compensation despite many not having there next 1st round pick.
Take Toronto for example. They traded their 2020 1st to Carolina...

Even at the top of the page when u click the link, it says
"The draft picks must available in the nearest entry draft, unless the compensation requires two or more draft picks in the same round: an extra year can be used to for compensation for these picks (if two 1st round picks are required, the club must have two 1st round picks available in the next three drafts)"

From section 10.4 of the CBA

Clubs cannot acquire picks to use as compensation (with the exception being a Club's own draft selections that are traded and then re-acquired).

Clubs owing one (1) draft selection must have it available in the next draft.

Clubs owing two (2) draft selections in different rounds must have them available in the next draft.

Clubs owing three (3) draft selections in different rounds must have them available in the next draft.

Clubs owing two (2) draft selections in the same round, must have them available in the next three (3) drafts.

Clubs owing three (3) draft selections in the same round must have them available in the next four (4) drafts, and so on.

When a Club owes two (2) or more draft selections in the same round, the signing Club does not elect the years in which such selections shall be awarded to the Prior Club; rather, the selections next available will be transferred to the Prior Club (i.e., a Club that owes two (2) selections has them available in the next two (2) drafts – that is when they are transferred).

You are a terrible troll...sad sad sad attempt.

A team may not have two different players sign offer sheets at the same time if the value of the offered contracts would involve any of the same draft picks as compensation. You cant have 2 offer sheets at the same time. Its right in the CBA as well,

You can have more than one active offer sheet as long as you have the picks available. In this AGM the Tkatchuk offer sheet must be signed first using up the 2020 1st then Marner to use 2021-2024 1st's. The Marner offer sheet could not be done first since it would use up the 2020-23 1st's and thus the 2020 1st would not be available for the Tkatchuk offer sheet.

Section 10.3 paragraph D of the CBA

(d) (i) A Club may have more than one Offer Sheet signed by a Restricted Free
Agent outstanding at any one time and from time to time, provided that it has the available draft
picks to satisfy its obligations pursuant to Section 10.4 with respect to all Offer Sheets
outstanding at the relevant time.
