Sorry for my Laziness, it was too much work to create a team for 20-21 just to get my thought out.

Chicago should be pretty happy with the offer sheet Aho signed. This kinda sets the bar for RFAs.. The AAV of the offer sheet is reasonable, MTL was hoping Carolina wouldn't match the Bonuses in the 1st year.

I know more goes into a contract that just point output but for knowledge I added their point totals.

Marner will come in at the top. (224)
Aho (197) will be the middle ground.
Connor(128) and Tkachuk (174) just below Aho.

The Aho offer sheet should set the bar for Debrincat next off season. Cat scored 24 more points in his 2nd season than his 1st.. if he improved by another 10 points in his third it will put him in-between Aho and Marner.

Chicago should be able to fit Cat at 8 x 8.5 - 9

I think the key to Aho is that he's going to be a UFA in 5 years at age 26. The cap should be much higher. If he's still in his peak with a higher cap, the going rate for FA top C's might be 14M+ per. It'll be interesting to see if Debrincat bets on himself in a similar fashion as far the term goes.

Fair, but Aho is also a #1C. Debrincat is a winger on the 2nd line. Yeah, yeah...so was Kane and Kane definitely deserves his contract, but Aho faced the opposing teams shutdown line and Debrincat doesn't. Don't get me wrong, Debringcat deserves a HUGE raise, but I don't think it should be north of $8.5M seems a bit much.
