Honestly, yours has been the only one I have liked since before the draft. It's realistic, some of the numbers are a bit short in terms of Buch and Deangelo, but this is the best looking one I have seen with clean moves for a very hefty 2020 draft. Also, I believe that the rangers will either trade Smith/Bury is contract.

There is zero percent chance Vegas takes that trade. It doesn’t help them at all. They’re over the cap and need to shed salary. Gusev would only be included to get someone to take a bad contract off their hands. A trade for Gusev that doesn’t include taking on a big contract (which we can’t afford) would start at minimum a second round pick or prospect like Andersson or Howden. They can’t even fit Fast under the cap as they stand now.
Don’t get your hopes up on unloading Smith’s contract. It’s looking like he will have to be bought out.

As of right now, Smith can't be bought out as the window for that is gone unless one of the Rangers RFA's goes to Arbitration, then they would be able to. Right now he needs to be traded or buried in the AHL, which would only give a little bit of cap relief for the Rangers.

The team can essentially force another buyout window by low-balling DeAngelo or Buchnevich into filing for arbitration. I would be shocked if none of them file, that’s not typically how it goes. It would be great to trade Smith and Namestnikov and use their money to pay Trouba but teams aren’t jumping out of their chairs to get their hands on these two overpaid mediocre players.

They can easily buyout smith once the arb filings happen. Namestikov and Strome can both be bought out if need be.

Vegas can go Over the cap bc of Clarkson’s contract. I’d take on a bad contract for gusev.
