Honestly I really like the CBJ trade, only snag is Little's NMC which I doubt he waives. It turns into a modified NTC the year after though.

True that...I wonder what would happen...The main reason why I traded him was it seems that he isnt the 2C we need....Wennberg had a bad year last year but performed really good in the world's plus he is a really good PKer...

CBJ rejects, no need to lose a good prospect.. and got so much cap space they dont need to shed wennbergs salary

He is going into his 5th season...that is not a prospect...this is also why you are getting a few round higher draft pick...

Prospect is the wrong word... but he is just reaching his potential now, and get a way bigger opportunity, cbj is not trading him this year, end of story

I think you're looking at this trade wrong, the Jackets aren't giving up Bjorkstrand and if they're looking to move on from Wennberg it's somewhat like a cap dump swap/change of scenery trade if Perreault is involved and let's face reality the Jets aren't likely to move Little so imo the trade would be something more like: Perreault, 2nd, 3rd for Wennberg.

Columbus declines, we aren’t going to be moving fairly young players who haven’t reached their prime or full potential for guys who are older and on the backside of their career, we are a rebuilding team right now, not a contender. So we have very little interest in Little or Perreault at this time. Columbus also believes that Wennberg can round back into his top 6 role from 2 years ago and that Bjorkstrand is going to take another step forward in his offensive development, with a likely role in the top 6 all year and more power play time, it might not be a stretch that Bjorkstrand could hit 30 goals, he had 23 last year on the 3rd line and limited power play minutes.
