Dubas is going for the July 1st hat trick, first it was Tavares, than it was the Kadri/Zaitsev trades, next it'll be signing Pietrangelo.

Leafs get to send a player down when they sign Marner, that's +700k. Hyman on the LTIR to start the year, add another 200k-ish. 9.9 to sign him. Ball in Marner's court.

Next year: Ceci off the books, Muzzin walks, re-sign Barrie, promote Sandin and Liljegren, Dermott promoted to top4 minutes. Done.

Also Dermott needs an extension next year.

Will be interesting to see! If they get Marner at around 10M that's over 30M in three forwards. With only one defenseman signed through next season.
