Description

This is assuming Marner signs an 11.5 - 12 million dollar offersheet with another team. Unfortunately if I'm controlling the leafs I can't offer sheet him, so i'm gonna have to sign him and then trade him to any random team with cap space for the 4 first round picks. Also, as far as the Brandon Carlo signing is concerned, the only reason I think it might work is because Charlie McAvoy, Dante Heinen and Forsbacka-Karlsson are all RFA, Heinen had a 42 point season so I'm expecting him to get Kerfoot level dollars, around 3.2 - 3.5 million. Add that to McAvoy who's been a staple in their defense and only 21 years old, I expect him to sign for at least 4 million dollars. Forsbaka-Karlsson is a great prospect for them and I expect him to get actual NHL minutes for them next year so I the Bruins will have a hard time signing Carlo to a 4.2 million dollar deal over 4 years. If I'm wrong though, lmk LOL, I'm not 100% aware with the Bruins fanbase's opinions

I suppose it'snot ideal but he did have 56 points last year which when I looked at comparable players, guys like Brayden Schenn and Evander Kane come to mind. Schenn makes almost 6 mill and Kane makes 7 on the dot. I figured with a rising salary cap, 7 was a fair market price for Dzingel but again i could be wrong about that too :/

Who would you want the leafs to sign? Johansson isn't a bad option I suppose, and Edundson and Zadarov are also RFA's if you really wanna beef up the defense with more youth

Yikes. 7 million with term for Dzingel is terrible. If there was a situation in which Marner leaves, I think I'd rather test the waters on Ferland on a short term deal. Then re-sign Gardiner.

I realize you made some edits but Dzingel's best comparable is Jordan Eberle. If he goes anywhere it will likely be at 5.5M for 5 years

Yeahhh I just saw Evander Kane had similar production, and Dzingel can also play center, so I just thought he'd have a similar value to Kane, but hey, learn something new everyday!
