Description

New "Rumors" about Mitch getting offersheeted by the Isles, which have no cap space or another Mystery team at 12.5/5. Either way, IF, and its a big IF, how would we move forward.

Step 1: Do not Match, take the 4 firsts.
Step 2: Get Kyle Connor

What is the cost for Connor. I literally have no idea.

Also on Roster Notes:
1: Hyman and Dermott are injured for the first month. Might be able to go on LTIR, who knows. but
Hyman: Replaces Agostino. Shore Gets put on Healthy Scratch. Goat gets traded or sent down through waivers

Dermott: Replaces Marincin. Ideally kicks Ceci to 3rd pair right, but its babcock

I think Muzzin/'Barrie makes more sense than Rielly/Barrie - unless you need a goal bad.

Why not just keep the assets and offer up an 8.5 million 5 year deal for Connor on an offersheet. Its only a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd compensation which is better than 2 firsts?

Also if Marner left and we got Connor, with the extra cap space I would dump Ceci and add Gardiner back if he took a deal in the mid 5s. Our dcore would go from everyone saying it sucked to a legit contender

I am not sure what Winnipeg is looking for. Picks, prospects, NHL players?

I dont like your trade, which probably makes it somewhere in the realm of fair. I hope it wouldnt take as much. maybe lose the 1st. but eh.

Cost certainty. Saving 1.5mil and gaining an extra 2 years is worth if(assuming he signs for around 7). Also garentee's that you get him and WPG wont match.
