Perhaps the most logical "Marner offer sheet" I've seen based on overall AAV and term. I think if that were the case, the Leafs would make a trade with NJ so they could get Marner for an 8th year. The trade would have to look something like Marner, Ceci and Bracco for Hall, McLeod and Severson. Keep in mind that this protects NJ from losing all those 1st round draft picks as compensation, which, between their luck and very possible season outcome, could be 1st overall draft picks.

What gets overlooked is what an offer sheet does to a team’s future UFAs/RFAs. If Marner gets 12.5 mil then Hall would want the more, Hischier says he’s 75 percent the player marner is so wants close to 10, Butcher thinks he’s at least 70 percent the player Marner is and then on and on
