BTW I don't think Marner is going anywhere, I see him as a lifelong Leaf, but this is the team I'd assemble with the picks and money... btw it isn't necessarily the Islanders offer sheeting him, but it is a team with cap space. Great mix of toughness, skill, and one of the best blue lines in hockey. If Ottawa wants more, I'd trade Nylander and a second for Tkackuk. But of course Marner is staying in Toronto. Close to 18 million in the offseason to keep Muzzin, Barrie, Dermott, and fill in the bottom 6. Ready to take on Boston!!

Leafs have just over 3 mil in Cap space, no way they can re-sign Marner. Most teams won’t want to give up 4 1st.
Odds are they trade his rights. If he is offer sheeted, Leafs can’t afford to match.

He won't get it. He's no where close to McDavid worth. Hell Draisatl is a better player and makes 8.5 million, Kucherov 9.5 million in tax haven Tampa. I think he should and will take the 10.4 million plus over 5 years when teams don't offer sheet him what he wants.
