Description
Per David Pagnotta, JJ might be on the move and the 3 teams that he mentioned are MTL, LA and ANA. If the Penguins move JJ, I think they also send a forward and high pick to complete the move. In my opinion, MTL and ANA have a lot of forwards as is, so LA would make the most sense.

The 3 forwards I could see being on the move are Hornqvist, Bjugstad and Rust. All 3 have higher cap hits and make sense to trade out.

Who do you think is most likely to go between the 3 and who do you think the Pens should keep most between the 3?

I think I agree with you. Although Horny is great as a player, his cap hit and age, mixed with what the Pens are trying to do, should make him to obvious one. He does have a NTC though and on CapFriendly, they make it seem like he has full control over where he goes for the next 2 years so a move seems unlikely. Between Rust or Bjugstad, I feel like I'm more attached to Rust, but I also think Jugs hasn't played enough to be fully judged. I do think one of them go.

I doubt we'd have to add a 2nd or anything that high of value to JJ only IF we attach Bjustad or Rust and took nothing back (like your trade). I could see Rust/Bjustad+Johnson for nothing, but I doubt it would cost us another 2nd (Bjustad and Rust are probably valued at around 2nd round picks.) Also don't think it makes sense to sign Hutton, much rather take a flier on a cheaper guy for one year, like Micheal Del Zotto.

You are getting rid of JJ's contract, which is for 4 more years. I doubt a team would just want one of Rust/Jugs. I think another piece needs to be added. I think at least a 3rd should be included. As for your Hutton point, I can see the Pens going for a cheaper alternative.

Trade Malkin and Letang. When 8s the last time either won a thing.
