Laine is going to demand more than that, but I’d play him with Malkin because he’s a pure sniper who doesn’t mind just standing around waiting for a pass.

Laine is not getting more than that. He only gets near that on a max length deal.

I heard Darren Dreger say on TSN1050 that Patrik Laine will only take 9.75M on a 2-3 year bridge deal. His camp believes that he is worth more money than Mitch Marner, who may get 10.5 on a 5 year deal if he is to stay in Toronto.

Don't you think is just public negotiation....means nothing when it comes time actual signing.

And what's with giving the Leafs another 4m in cap with Gudbranson? Horton's LTIR meaning nothing for the Leafs cap.

Winnipeg had $22,9mil in cap space. I think they match.
