Bracco should be on the top line with JT. He is better than Marner.

No, need to slowly move him up.
If he plays well in the season, then surely but you do not start the year there

Agreed. He has to earn those top line minutes. As for Ferland, he's younger than Simmonds and he got 5 million for the one year. In that respect maybe a decent deal.

My plan for the offseason would be to target Hamonic as UFA and resign Barrie for the D

I also I think want to target Hall as a UFA

I'm not a fan of Barrie but maybe I could stomach that...now Hall? Yeah.. I dunno.
Instead of signing Barrie and Hall, may going for another D is a better option.

Marner getting offer sheeted opens up alot of options if one thinks about it.

What other D option?
Age matters imo and also the term your giving too and player matters

I do not want to give out a 5 year deal to 30 year old

I disagree
Speeza did not play C most of last season, he is better at the wing and maybe occassionally play C

Bracco makes the roster I bet

Isn't the Agostino contract 2 way?

Bracco would be pointless to play on the 4th line. Top 3 lines were basically confirmed already today

Regardless, you want your young players to earn their way into those top lines and minutes.
If you just hand these things out, A: it rubs team mates (the ones who earned their way) the wrong way and B: there's a high risk of ruining a young player's confidence.

Just let him earn it and things will be fine.

Spezza took 900 faceoffs in 2018-19 and won 58% of them. He can definitely play centre.

It's not the faceoffs to worry about. We know he's good in that area. It's his speed. He's lost quite a bit of it and centre might be too much for him at this stage in his career.Today's NHL is much faster so playing him on the wing makes more sense.

Well to play centre you don’t need a tremendous amount of speed. Look at guys like Crosby, Malkin, Toews and Tavares. None of those guys are particularly fast. A good centre needs to have good awareness at both ends of the ice and vision. Something Spezza has lost due to age is his agility and that’s going to effect him playing in the centre position.

Yes but there was a reason Dallas stopped playing him at C.
He has lost more speed than you think. Couple that with the responsibilities that a C usually has, it's not a good idea.
When he's out there as a winger he can still take faceoffs, no rules saying that can't happen.
