Vegas would trade him to you. But you have to offer them something of value. Waiver trash and a mediocre pick won’t do it.

While I agree more is needed in the form of prospects or picks, but waiver trash? How is Caggs waiver trash exactly?

Just an expression. A bit harsh in Drakes case. But you can find similar type players on waivers each year. ??‍♂️

For some reason you are excluding Shalunov from the equation. Shalunov is playing out the rest of his contract in the KHL, and will likely come over after that. I see this trade as a “ReRoll” of sorts for Vegas, except they also get a good 4th liner and decent pick. @ChiHawk you said you agree there needs to be more prospect capital, what would you suggest?

I think you move a prospect like Barratt. Shalunov is not a sure thing and he'll be 27 years old at that point with a okay resume in the KHL.

I would like to keep Barratt through his junior year and see where he is. Would you only add in the proposed trade, or would you shuffle some pieces around. How about instead of another prospect we include Perlini? It wouldnt be fair to him to have him wasting away on the 4th line.
