I don't think Gardiner is better than Muzzin, and there is no way that Gardiner is going to sign for less than what he was making this year. No.... if anything he would be willing to sign for what he was making this year but not less.

No to that deal. Pretty easy no. Also Gardiner is not better than Muzzin and not going to sign for like 2-2.5 mil less than his value is.

That Edmonton trade is insanely bad. The best player in the trade is Muzzin by a huge margin, 2nd best player is Kap and then Larsson. Its a massive 1 sided trade.

Rumor is that Gards really wants to be in Toronto, I can see him signing for this AAV if it's over 7 or 8 years and he's still guaranteed big money long term. (Obviously wouldn't be a good deal for the Leafs but with his back, he could easily be an LTIR contract that could even go to Seattle in the expansion draft to help them hit the floor.)
