Maybe Dzingel... but Gardnier is a different case.. there are a few factors with him.. back, defensive lapses, and the fact that he put himself out on the market to high. I do believe that for him to get signed he will have to possibly take a “one year show me contract” to get what he really wants. There are not very many teams that are playoff possibilities with the cap space to give him 6.5 million..
when I look at Dzingel, his playoff performance hurts his asking price a bit. He was a healthy scratch in CBJ at least 2 playoff games I believe. Maybe the term is shorter, but as free agency moves forward and he isn’t signed... 4.25 million may not be far off
