I was shocked. My first thought was "I thought this kid was good?"
It would be insaneIf the sharks can get Marleau, Thornton and LeBlanc all signed for under 5 million.

They will, easily. I also think Doug has one more move up his sleeve...most creative GM in the league and best negotiator.

Supposedly there was a signing bonus involved. Uncertain how much, but that salary in comparison is just ridiculous for what Labanc brings. He could've gotten as much as $4.5 million AAV and really, he had nothing else left to prove. He already proved it. Somehow Doug Wilson convinced him that he needs to prove some more.

You got basically Heed and Labanc on these $1,000,000 contracts telling them to prove themselves that they deserve more money. Doug Wilson must be a total hard ass.

Report out of Toronto after LeBlanc signs... Marner signs for 700000 x 8 and bell / Rogers buy his commercial rights for 85 million!!!!
