Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Vegas can start the year with a 22 man roster (including Clarkson's contract) and then put Clarkson on the LTIR and save 5 millions off the cap.

They can recall Whitecloud from the minor after that and add a 4th center with a PTO or free agent. (Brassard if not too expensive)

They can also wait and sign Engelland after putting Clarkson on LTIR.

Moving Cody for a 3rd is bang on. Moving Holden for a 5th or 6th is bang on. However, I think we have to give Goose a chance. If that's not possible, we have to get way more back in a trade than a second rounder....this guy is in hot demand around the league. I think we could move Nosek to center Carrier and Reaves and save the $2M on Brassard by giving that to Goose. Goose will likely sign a 2 year $3.9 and your cap space plus Brassard will more than cover that expense. The upside of Goose is worth it....I don't want to start comparing him to Kooch or the Bread Man, but what if? What do you think?

Yeah it's also a good option ! I'm just not sure if someone really want Holden as he is basically a 6th or 7th defenceman... If Gusev wants to wait until we put Clarkson on LTIR before he signs, this is the best option for Vegas, but I doubt that's what he really wants.
