I dont watch the Rangers much. is the Strome brother any good? 30pts/year not bad. probably can get him cheap as a RFA next year. might have to sweeten the deal for the Rangers taking on term, and higher AAV.

Love Artie but we need the cap relief. You can have Strome for a 3rd and send Artie elsewhere. He is a useful player and would be fun to watch with his brother, but i cant see him fitting in with the NYR long term.

I am excited about this years Blackhawks. They have addressed the biggest weakness from 18-19, defence, and their second biggest weakness, goaltending. If the offence can be what it was a year ago this could be a dangerous team.

Anisimov seams like the obvious spot for some cap relief, one year of R.Strome is an interesting thought. I am from Niagara and I watched both Perlini and r. Strom in the OHL and both guys are special in the offensive zone. I really hope Chicago can find a way to give Perlini another shot with this roster, he is a Big guy with a wicked shot. In the right situation he could be a 20 goal 45-50 point guy. I would much rather Chicago move out a d man (dhalstrom or Koekkoek) to make room for a forward. it clears a spot for a younger d man to get an opportunity.

If Kubalik makes the roster he needs to play in a more offensive role, a bottom line checking spot isn't his strength, Cags would probably be more effective in this role.

that's cool to hear about Perlini, and R.Strome. i like Perlini as well. i think both Kubalik and Kurashev are going to be big surprises, and really add depth, and scoring to a already lethal offence. loving how this team looks!!!

I think that the trade makes sense for a few reasons... 1st I think that the chemistry between Anisimov and Panarin brings out the best in Anisimov (he actually plays at what he is worth with Panarin), next I know that this trade can't happen unless the Rangers shed some salary and in comes Strome on an expiring RFA deal. I know Perlini would be nice but I think putting the brothers together could be a big win for the Hawks. Plus if you could find a way to get them both to sign reasonable extensions it could keep the cost down for the Hawks going forward.

NY doesn't have the cap space for Arty. One year of Strome, he's been hit or miss, shouldn't cost the Hawks much. Highly unlikely Dach plays more then 9 games this year. Ryan Strome can center the 3rd line on a 1 year deal till Dach is ready if we trade Arty. OR Kampf can take 3C duties.

Caggs is not a 1st liner, he's a bottom 6 player. We don't know Kubalik will be exactly (middle 6 or top 6) but he's definitely not a 4th liner...he's a shooter not a checker. We shouldn't give up on Perlini yet. Sikura as well. Both have a better shot at making the lineup then Quenneville. Between Kubalik, Sikura or Perlini, one of those guys needs to be a top 6 player or they will revert to putting Shaw up there; all in all, Caggs is not that guy.

Ryan Strome and Dylan Strome on the same line would slow that line down tremendously. Rangers already need to shed cap, not take more on. You are asking them to take on another $1.5M in cap hit with Arty over R strome. Without that trade, they need to shed cap space. This just doesn't work and Ryan Strome is very streaky and at his best is not much better then a 3rd liner. We have Kampf, Toews, D Strome and Carpenter all centers. If we shed Anisimov, we really don't need another Center. Kampf was fantastic as a 4C, maybe he can step up and be a 3C for a year till Dach is ready.
