It doesn't make sense for the Kings.

Simply put, no. Longer explanation would be that they wouldn't want okposo to begin with and nylander and hutton do not equal toffoli and quick.

I will admit the thought of Quick as a Sabre is intriguing at the very least.

No shot. The goalie swap is a non-starter. Both Quick and Hutton are 33 years old, and even though Quick is coming off a career-worst year (.888 S%), Hutton's .908 S% isn't much to look at. When looking at the two from a value perspective, Hutton is the cheaper option but Quick is more poised for a bounce back season and the Kings aren't super cap-strapped. Of course, however, they would be by adding the gremlin of a contract Okposo has. I don't see any teams touching that any time soon. And finally, while Toffoli had a rough season (13-21-34), he had the same point total in 2016-17 and bounced back to score 24 goals and 47 points two seasons ago. Nylander is an interesting prospect but I imagine GMs will want to see more than 19 NHL games before moving a proven 20-goal scorer still under 30 for someone like him.

This may be the mother of all hot takes, but I don't think Quick's contract is too much better than Okposo's. Quick is a goalie that relies on his athleticism to succeed, and with his age and injury history I don't have a whole lot of confidence into him bouncing back into being a competent starter. He's pulled too many groins to be able to play the game he's played throughout his career, and if he can't transition into being a more conservative reflex based goaltender then last season is going to be an indication of what's to come.

With that being said, the Kings wouldn't give up Toffoli for this package.
