i know hawks fans are going to throw out strome as a comparison. nylander played well and showed high end skill at the end of the season in rochester and buffalo a bit once healthy but as someone who has season tickets to the roadrunners, where strome and perlini played, and watches rochester games because i am a sabre fan, you can't compare the two. strome absolutely lit it up the AHL at will and so did perlini. nylander definitely did not. i still think he needs another year in the A to work on making his skill set work for him from the dots down.

I strongly disagree. First off, where is Boqvist? He is too good not to make this team, so add him on the right side. I believe Gustafsson plays on the right of Keith, no? Then create the super redemption line of DeBrincat (drafted in 2nd round, undersized, boohoo :P) - Strome (was so lost in the desert) - Nylander (the forgotten son of Michael Nylander). All jokes aside, I think that line is going to kill if the two Erie Otters can form some decent chemistry with Alex.

Just because a high prospect don´t deliver in his first year in a NHL organisation doesn´t mean he will be a bad hockey player. New team with one of the coaches beeing from Sweden (Mitell) and the other with big experience in swedish hockey can be a boost for a young kid. Here in Sweden we still have big hopes for Alex and with Mitchell and Boqvist in the pipe, i like this deal.
