Montreal isn't going to trade up those quality picks for a 28 YO defensemen.

Way too much for Gusev. Mayfield is a legit #4 defenseman on a great contract, and we're trading him plus picks for essentially an unknown. I have no problem giving up picks and mid-level prospects, but not Mayfield.
